For most people, January is the month for the New Year reset. For me, Jan marks the end and beginning of the year. By Feb 1, I’ve just celebrated my Capricorn birthday, it’s Black History Month and it’s Fashion Month around the globe. I am revitalized!
In the spirit of transformation, I’m doing things a little differently this year starting with who these monthly newsletters are shared with. Last year, these were sent exclusively to our email subscribers. This year, I want to share what I’m seeing in the tall girl world with more people by also sharing on our blog.
Up first, my favorite wardrobe piece from this winter season -- the short fur coat

I found this gem of a jacket while shopping with my mother at Macy's circa 2018 and I 💕 making the pop of pink the star of any look.
Style tip:
Keep a fur look texturally balanced with a coordinating smooth fabric like leather or denim (fur on fur on fur can start to get wild!). Plus a fur/leather combo will never go out of style.
2 things about this jacket I would change to make it TALL GIRL APPROVED:
- Add big pockets
- Add 2 inches to the sleeves
Other than that, this after-season sale find remains a top favorite winter wardrobe piece.
